The family of the British aid worker held hostage by ISIS have pleaded with his captors to "make contact." Relatives of David Haines released a short statement on Saturday imploring the terror group to respond to their messages. "We are the family of David Haines," it reads. "We have sent messages to you to which we have not received a reply. We are asking those holding David to make contact with us."
Haines was named as ISIS' next target in a video showing the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff. The 44-year-old was shown kneeling in the sand wearing an orange jumpsuit next to an ISIS militant who warned that the father of two would be killed next if the U.S. continued to launch airstrikes against ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria. Haines was reported abducted in early 2013 in Syria while working for an aid group.
