The Rio Grande Valley of Texas has been the portal for tens of thousands of children who have ventured to the U.S.-Mexico border over several months. There have been images of packed Border Patrol stations and lines of children and adults walking through the desert. Here’s a look at how many children border officials have apprehended day-by-day during May and June in the valley, compared to arrivals of unaccompanied children on other parts of the border and some key political responses during that period.
