The husband of an American aid worker who was infected with Ebola in Africa told NBC News she seems to be getting better at a hospital in Atlanta. The couple’s sons were able to deliver a special request: Starbucks coffee.
David Writebol said although he doesn’t think his wife Nancy is in the clear, she has received a third dose of experimental treatment and is “in very good hands and is being well attended to, just as she was attended to in Liberia," where he remains. As he waits to return home, David Writebol said he is taking his temperature every day and waiting through the 21-day incubation period to make sure he’s not infected.
Writebol said he misses his wife of 40 years and can’t wait to kiss her, calling her “the best part of my life.” He said she is in God's hands, and he has been praying like never before but has a sense of peace and calm. “I want to be with her and hold her and thank the Lord together that she's still with us and we still have many years we hope to enjoy each other."
