A U.S. Navy non-com who was swept away along with four of his young children is the latest victim of the Washington mudslide to be identified.
Billy Spillers, 30, a chief petty officer in the Navy, had moved to the Oso neighborhood two years ago from Seattle with his wife, Jonielle, and their kids.
Spillers is the 30th person to be positively ID'd by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office among the 33 bodies found in the aftermath of the March 22 slide.
Kaylee Spillers, 5, and her step-brother, Jovon Mangual, 13, have also been identified as fatalities. Brooke Spillers, 2, is one of 12 people listed as missing, according to a new list posted Monday by the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
Four-year-old Jacob Spillers was rescued alive. Jonielle Spillers, a nurse, was reportedly at work during the slide.
