Tonight on "Nightly News" Miguel Almaguer boards a chopper for a view of the mudslide from above.
"It's difficult to put into words how much destruction there is," he says.
It could take months to clean up the area -- the mud flow in some areas is 60 feet deep. Homes and cars are buried, and first responders worry that bodies lie beneath the debris and rubble.
