Stanley Tucci is going for the gold this coming winter.
The Emmy-winning actor will provide coverage of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics next February for NBCUniversal, it was exclusively announced Monday on "TODAY."
The “Devil Wears Prada” star will be in northern Italy to report on the food, culture and lifestyle of the region for NBC and Peacock.

“During primetime, Tucci will present travelogue-style segments highlighting the food, traditions, and history of the regions hosting the Winter Olympics,” NBCUniversal said in a press release.
The assignment is familiar terrain for the Academy Award-nominated actor, whose family heritage goes back to the Marzi, a town in southern Italy.
In addition, Tucci has won multiple Emmy Awards for his CNN food and travel series, “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.” He also hosts the National Geographic show “Tucci in Italy.”
Tucci is a New York Times bestselling author, penning such books as “Taste: My Life Through Food” and “What I Ate in One Year.”
“It’s been my passion to learn about the people of Italy by traversing the country and savoring its food,” Tucci said in the release.
“But this time, I’ll have a guest with me — the world. I’m excited to return to northern Italy as the Olympic Games brings the world to its doorstep,” he said. “What foods will the world fall in love with? What favorites will be uncovered? How will Italy transform with the world as its guest? I’m excited to share it all with the American primetime audience in February.”

“America has an affinity for all things Italian, and with his string of hit shows and best sellers, Stanley’s now the it guy on Italian culture in our country. His mix of cool curiosity and masterful storytelling makes him the perfect guide to dish on northern Italy’s culinary and cultural treasures. We can’t wait for him to make America hungry in primetime.”
Tucci is not the first celebrity to work as a correspondent during the Olympics for NBC. During last year’s Summer Olympics in Paris, “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost covered surfing, while Snoop Dogg also provided commentary for the Games.
Coverage of the Winter Olympics begins on Feb. 6, 2026, with the opening ceremony on NBC and Peacock, and runs through Feb. 22.
