Superheroes Honor 6-Year-Old Shooting Victim at Touching Funeral

Jacob died after a teen gunman opened fire at a South Carolina elementary school. He was struck by a bullet in a main artery in his thigh as he left for recess. A fellow classmate and a teacher were also shot but were treated and released from the hospital.

Jacob's blue casket was decorated with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle stickers, a bright floral spray topped with large figurines of Ninja turtles and Captain America. Jacob was laid to rest as Batman, another one of his favorite superheroes.
