St. Petersburg Subway Explosion: Scenes of Turmoil After Blast

The explosion killed at least fourteen people and injured at least 20 others, officials said.

One of the injured is transported outside the station.

The blast struck while Russian President Vladimir Putin was visiting St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city with around 5 million people, which is also where he was born.

The train was between two stations when the explosion happened, according to the country's National Anti-Terrorism Committee.

Russia's FSB intelligence agency was investigating the explosion and all subway stations in the city were closed.
