"Happy St. Patrick's Day," astronaut Terry Virts wrote as he tweeted this image of Ireland seen from the international space station. "From space you can see the 'Emerald Isle' is very green!"
You can see a bit of green in Virts' photo, but in the image below from a NASA satellite, also released for St. Patrick's Day, the "Emerald Isle" is looking a bit more verdant.
