To promote his new movie, “Digger,” Tom Cruise has performed the modern movie star equivalent of praying the stations of the cross. He has flashed his abs on a GQ cover, shimmied through the spirit tunnel on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” played a human claw machine on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, high-fived Taylor Swift at a Chiefs game and explained the history of the Vista Vision format to Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, on the “New Heights” podcast.
