A man rides by a new mural by street artist iNO at the Athens Technopolis, an industrial museum and major cultural venue, on May 27 in Greece.
Athens has no shortage of graffiti evoking Greece's four-year austerity despair, marked by soaring unemployment, sweeping poverty and often violent protests. This time, however, the artists have been licensed by the authorities.
The private Onassis Foundation Cultural Center, seen below, is also holding an ongoing exhibition inspired by street art and graffiti around the capital. The exhibition currently showcases some 40 street-art works, including spray-painted cars specially created at the organization's exhibition space.
