After receiving the best actor Academy Award on Sunday for playing twin brothers in “Sinners,” Michael B. Jordan celebrated with a burger at a Hollywood In-N-Out.
In several videos posted online, the actor is seen posing for photos at the popular fast-food eatery with his gold statue still in hand. Stunned fans screamed and cheered as Jordan smiled at the camera.
Sunday’s win was Jordan’s first Oscar. He beat out Timothée Chalamet for “Marty Supreme,” Leonardo DiCaprio for “One Battle After Another,” Ethan Hawke for “Blue Moon” and Wagner Moura for “The Secret Agent.”
He began his speech by thanking his family and the film's director, Ryan Coogler.
“I’m so honored to call you a collaborator and a friend, and you gave me an opportunity and space for me to be seen,” he said.
The box-office hit won three other Academy Awards, including best original screenplay, best cinematography and best original score. Jordan plays brothers Smoke and Stack in the vampire horror flick.
Celebrating at In-N-Out has become an unwritten tradition for many Hollywood winners, according to Vogue, which says it began around 2005. Stars including Hilary Swank, Julie Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis have all been photographed grabbing a quick bite at the burger joint after attending the Academy Awards.
