In 2000, a fifth grader created a portrait of Kidman. Now Crayola wants to find the artist.

A Nicole Kidman portrait created by a fifth grader 24 years ago has Crayola on the hunt to track the artist down.

In a June 7 Instagram post, the art supplies brand best known for its crayons shared a colorful piece of art depicting the “Big Little Lies” actor. The brand explained its effort to reunite with the mystery artist behind the piece of art.

“Does anyone know a Rachel from Temple?” the brand asked in its post. “We want to return the 2000s art she made at Kennedy Powell Elementary!”

The colorful artwork featuring Kidman appears to blend elements of pop art and mosaic styles.

“If you made this or know who made this, tag them in the comments or head to the link in bio to claim!” the post concluded.

According to the post, the artwork was created in 2000 by a fifth grader who attended school in Temple, Texas, a city about 65 miles north of Austin, Texas. The artwork is currently featured on the Crayola website’s Campaign For Creativity and features a caption from the artist that reads: “My dream is to be successful in many areas. I love art, but I also like music and acting. Nicole Kidman is talented in many areas.”

Users in the comments were amazed at the level of skill displayed by a fifth grader.

“I want to find them too and see if they are still doing art because this is so good, especially for someone in elementary school!” one commented.

“This is amazing!” another replied, tagging the actor in the post.

The piece featuring Kidman is just one of the thousand included in Crayola’s inaugural effort to reunite creators with their childhood creations as part of its Campaign for Creativity. The brand began gathering children’s art pieces forty years ago and featuring them in museums and galleries nationwide.
