Former ‘Teen Mom’ star Farrah Abraham pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that she attacked a hotel security guard in June, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.
Abraham, 27, was arrested after the June 13 incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel for battery and resisting arrest.
In a statement, the district attorney’s office said Abraham allegedly attacked the guard after she was asked to leave a hotel lounge. When police were summoned, she again refused to leave, the statement says.
In a video published by TMZ — and retweeted by Abraham without comment — she can be heard cursing at several officers and disputing the charges, saying she didn’t attack, batter, hurt or injure anyone.
“Why are you provoking me to get arrested?” she added. Near the end of the video she can be heard repeatedly crying off camera, "You're hurting me!"
Abraham’s representative did not respond to a request for comment Monday, but in a June statement to several media outlets said the “situation had been blown out of proportion.”
“A misunderstanding occurred and there was no battery or trespassing,” the statement said. “Farrah is a powerhouse and was having a business meeting in the hotel where the alleged incident happened. She is a very sweet and ambitious young woman who has been portrayed in a biased light on a reality TV show for many years.”
