Scott Brown says he is running for Senate in New Hampshire to hold Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen "accountable."
In an excerpt from remarks he is set to deliver when he formally announces his run Thursday, Brown says Shaheen "is a nice person, but wrong on the issues facing the people of New Hampshire."
"She made that clear when she cast the deciding vote that forced Obamacare on this state and our country," the Republican will say. "A lot of people aren't aware of that vote to pass Obamacare. But it’s important to know if we are ever going to get past Obamacare and get America moving in the right direction. I am running to be a true independent voice for New Hampshire – I am running to hold Senator Shaheen accountable."
In his announcement, Brown will also emphasize his roots in the Granite State. He served as a senator from nearby Massachusetts for three years before being defeated by Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
