We’re a little disappointed, since we were hoping the show would take on the unsolved mystery of where Jeb Bush’s supporters have vanished to.

A brand-spanking new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll gives us the best perspective yet on who is for and against Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. As you might expect, there is a sharp divide between the parties, with 42 percent of Republicans supporting the proposal and 75 percent of Democrats opposing it. And overall, nearly six-in-ten Americans oppose it. But most interesting is that these numbers tell us who is most likely to support the ban -- generally those who live in rural America and have a high school education or less. Sixty-six percent of those polled with a college degree oppose it, and 81 percent of those with a post-grad degree are against it. The takeaway is that the more you know about Islam and the more likely you are to live near Muslims, the less likely you are to support Trump’s proposal.
