Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is going to war with one of the most influential groups for GOP primary voters: FOX News.

Since Thursday night's primary debate, Trump has raged in interviews and on Twitter that FOX's debate questions to him -- particularly from moderator Megyn Kelly -- were targeted, unfair and "nasty."

Speaking to reporters in the spin room after the debate, Trump said "The questions to me were not nice. I didn’t think they were appropriate."

Overnight, he took to social media to voice even more strident complaints, even sharing a supporter's remark calling Kelly a "bimbo."

And in an interview on Morning Joe, he doubled down on his complaints again.

"I'm very surprised at Fox News that they would do that because, you know, I would say it's pretty unprofessional," he said of the network's questions.

Onstage, FOX News moderators peppered Trump with inquiries about his threat of a third party run, his past derogatory comments about women, and his business record.

"Frankly, what I say, and oftentimes it’s fun, it’s kidding," he protested after being asked about labeling women "fat pigs," among other slurs. " We have a good time. What I say is what I say."

"And honestly Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry," he added. "I’ve been very nice to you, although I could probably maybe not be, based on the way you have treated me. But I wouldn’t do that."

Immediately after the debate, a FOX News focus group led by pollster Frank Luntz featured former Trump supporters souring on the GOP frontrunner because of his demeanor on stage.

Both Trump and top adviser Michael Cohen slammed Luntz on social media Thursday night.
