A flash flood warning is in effect for Oklahoma City as an overhead thunderstorm stubbornly refuses to move, producing downpour after downpour. Meanwhile, in Missouri, Madison County is facing tornado warnings and tornado sirens are going off in Joplin, Mo. As of 9:30 p.m. ET tornado watches are in effect from Illinois to Oklahoma City.
