Recently surveyed employers say they plan to hire more college graduates this year than in 2013, but a key consideration may be exactly where one should start the job search. According to WalletHub, Washington, D.C., is the best place to look and Modesto, California the worst.

WalletHub looked at several factors to comprise the list, including the strength of the local job market, the social scene, housing costs and starting salaries. It looks like the Lone Star State may be the place to be for the graduating class of 2014.
