1.Who Cares If Google Glass Looks Nerdy … It’s Saving Lives

Doctors at Beth Israel Deaconess are taking Google Glass into the ER and so far it’s paying off. It’s already helped save one life, according to the Boston Globe, when a doctor used it to quickly and accurately look up a patient’s medical records and choose a life-saving medicine. The Boston hospital is the first medical facility to institutionalize the use of Google Glass in everyday medical care hoping the high-tech glasses will become as commonly worn as a pair of scrubs.

2. Pennsylvania School Stabbing

A teen wielding two knives went on a stabbing rampage inside a Pittsburgh-area high school this morning. Nineteen students and one security guard were hurt. Seven have "life-threatening" injuries, but are expected to recover. The suspect is a 16-year-old sophomore at Franklin Regional High School. He is currently in custody. Authorities say they do not yet know his motive.

3. Adreian Payne’s 8-Year-Old Friend Lacey Has Died

She was one of the most inspiring stories to come out of the NCAA Tournament: Lacey Holsworth, an 8-year-old cancer patient and hardcore Michigan State Spartans fan, has died. Lacey was best friends with MSU star Adreian Payne. The two met during a team visit to a hospital where she was a patient and were inseparable ever since. They texted. They colored together. Lacey cheered for him at games, and even helped him cut the net when MSU won the Big Ten Championship. Lacey had neuroblastoma, but you never would have known from her outlook on life. She was upbeat and always smiling. And on college basketball’s biggest stage, she stole the spotlight.

4. Welcome to the Party, iPhone

Finally. In July, Apple will reportedly join its competitors and begin producing the big-screen iPhone 6. The screen will be almost a full inch wider than the 4-inch screen on the 5S, but still not quite as big as Samsung’s Galaxy S5. Rumor has it, a bigger screen from Apple is in the works. If this screen-size war continues, we may soon need bigger purses and pockets.

5. How Eating Habits Vary in America

Sure, you’ve heard “you are what you eat,” but could what you eat be determined by where you live? A new study says yes. Researchers from 23andMe found there are certain regions of the country that gravitate towards specific foods. The West Coast tends to love its leafy green veggies, while the South loves fast food (check out U.S. obesity rates). Red meat is concentrated in the heartland and New England loves fruit juice. Is this in line with your own eating habits and where you fall on the map? Let us know in comments or at [email protected].

6. The Besties Reunite

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are slated to reunite on the big screen for a Universal Pictures Comedy called “The Nest.” The movie has been in development under Fey for the past few months, and Poehler is now in final negotiations to play a starring role. No word on the plot, but we do know this: the former SNL leading ladies will portray sisters. FYI casting directors: everyone on our team (female and male) is willing to play a third sister.
