When equestrian Boyd Martin's Pennsylvania horse barn burned down in May 2011, it almost cost him his Olympic dream and almost killed his star horse. Now Martin will follow the footsteps of his parents and compete for the first time as a U.S. Olympian in London.

He will ride Otis Barbotiere a 10-year-old horse. Barbotiere finished third at this year's Rolex Kentucky three-day event CCI four-star making him one of best in the sport. 

Martin will compete in Individual and Team Eventing.
