An anonymous person is stashing $100 bills all over the Bay Area and then tweeting hints about their locations in a project called “Hidden Cash.” The person behind the campaign told the Huffington Post, “I am OK with giving out at least $1,000 a day for the foreseeable future … We are planning to add more cities, starting with LA next weekend and NYC shortly afterwards.” He or she plans to start a nationwide movement around anonymous charitable giving.

Bill Murray has made a habit of popping up in random places, but this might take the cake. Over Memorial Day weekend, he stopped by a steakhouse in Charleston, South Carolina, where a group of guys were having a bachelor party. 3. Pope Francis’ Remarks About Priests and Celibacy
Pope Francis is turning heads over his recent comments about priests and celibacy. During a spur-of-the-moment news conference after his historic three-day trip to the Holy Land, Francis told reporters that is “not a dogma” that members of the clergy abstain from sex. “It is a rule of life that I appreciate very much, and I think it is a gift for the church, but since it is not a dogma, the door is always open.” Celibacy in the church has been tradition dating back 1,000 years.

How much do you think your company’s CEO makes? A new study from the Associated Press found the median pay package for a CEO climbed above $10 million last year. Yes, eight figures. Last year was the fourth year in a row that CEO compensation rose following the Great Recession. In fact, CEO pay has increased more than 50 percent in that time. A chief executive now makes 257 times more than the average worker.
5. Apple’s New ‘Smart Home’ Software
Apple has set its sights on the next big thing: taking over home appliances. Imagine turning on lights, an alarm system or your coffee maker with your iPhone. Apple is planning to unveil new software that will do just that at its Worldwide Developer Conference next week. Is this the next game-changer? Sounds like the “Internet of things” is gaining momentum.
6. Dad Catches Son’s Home Run Ball
Catching a home run ball at a baseball game is good. Catching a home run ball hit by your son is great. That’s what happened to the Gregor family this weekend. Conrad Gregor, 22, plays for the Minor League Quad Cities’ River Bandits. His parents drove five hours to see him play that day and he didn’t disappoint. In the sixth inning with his team down 2-1 Gregor launched a three-run homer right at his father – making the long drive totally worth it.
