Zsa Zsa Gabor is scheduled to undergo surgery at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center Friday to remove her right leg above the knee, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Gabor was facing the threat of amputation for weeks, the result of an infection she has been battling since before Christmas. Doctors determined that Gabor’s treatment for the infection has not worked, and the infection has made its way to the bone.
Gabor’s spokesperson told Access Hollywood that he wasn’t sure if Gabor (who is 94) is aware that the surgery will be taking place. Her doctors are expected to hold a press conference about her condition later Friday.
