* President Obama hosted a rare bill-signing ceremony today, reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank, and used the opportunity to reiterate his support for Congress acting on an economic "to-do" list.
* When it's not Greece; it's Spain: "The European Commission on Wednesday ... warned that Spain still had a long way to go to restore investors' confidence."
* Oil market: "Oil dropped more than 3 percent on Wednesday to the lowest level in nearly six months as fears about the euro zone crisis sparked an erosion in risk appetite across markets."
* American manufacturing is flourishing in ways unseen in a long while, but a slowdown in China is threatening the revival.
* Obama called Mitt Romney directly today, congratulating him on securing the Republican nomination, wishing his family well, and saying he looks forward "to an important and healthy debate about America's future."
* In an unusually-brazen display, Fox News' "Fox & Friends" morning show created and aired its own four-minute anti-Obama attack ad earlier today.
* It's worth noting that Fox's ad not only shifts the Republican network into the role of political actor and away from even half-hearted claims about journalism, its attack ad is also filled with falsehoods and misleading claims. Even some on the right believe Fox crossed a line this time.
