* Syria: "Syrian artillery gunners shelled a bread bakery full of workers and customers on Tuesday in an insurgent-held neighborhood of Aleppo, Syria's largest city, killing at least 20 people and wounding more than 30 in what activists and videographers described as a sudden and devastating attack."

* First Arizona, now Indiana: "The state of Indiana cannot withhold Medicaid funding from the local Planned Parenthood affiliate because some of its clinics offer abortions, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday."
* We're still learning more about Rep. Todd Akin's (R-Mo.) 1987 arrest at a reproductive health clinic in St. Louis.
* Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) has returned to the Mayo Clinic, but will continue to seek re-election.

* And the Washington Post's Jennifer Rubin seriously believes that if the president criticizes George W. Bush, then he's necessarily "apologizing for this nation." I can't wrap my head around that one -- does it apply to criticism of Jimmy Carter, too? -- but that's what she said.
