Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* In the Obama campaign's new web video, released this morning, we're re-introduced to the Etch A Sketch.

* In Nevada, Public Policy Polling found President Obama's lead shrinking from six points to three, 50% to 47%.

* Some Republican officials are reportedly "starting to fret a little bit" about their ground game, where Democrats appear to have an advantage.

* The Republican Party at the national level has, at least for now, pulled its support for Todd Akin's U.S. Senate campaign, but the state GOP is still running attack ads targeting Sen. Claire McCaskill (D).

* On a related note, Akin is also trying to go on the offensive, running a new attack ad blaming McCaskill for bringing health care coverage to millions.

* In a hilarious twist, Indiana's Republican Senate hopeful, Richard Mourdock is now running ads telling voters he'll "work with Republicans and Democrats to grow our economy and create jobs." Mourdock is on record telling multiple news outlets, "I certainly think bipartisanship ought to consist of Democrats coming to the Republican point of view."

* In Ohio, the latest Quinnipiac poll shows Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) leading Josh Mandel (R) by seven points, 48% to 41%, while the latest University of Cincinnati poll puts Brown's lead at only one point, 48% to 47%.

* And while House Republicans are unlikely to see a net gain in 2012, who does the National Republican Congressional Committee see as one of the most vulnerable Democratic incumbents? Massachusetts' John Tierney.
