Faruq Khalil Muhammed will appear in federal court in Brooklyn Saturday to face conspiracy charges stemming from a 2009 truck bomb attack in Mosul that killed five U.S. servicemen.

He's charged with orchestrating the attack on the U.S. forward operating base in Mosul on April 10, 2009. A truck drove to the gate and detonated its load of explosives alongside the last vehicle in a US convoy, leaving a 60-foot crater.
