In this week’s primaries, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich placed third Arizona (16%) and fourth in Michigan (7%).
Gingrich represented Georgia for 20 years in Congress, including four years as Speaker of the House.

Rep. Eric Cantor

In a Politico op-ed this week, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) wrote about the JOBS Act that Congress presented to President Obama. He wrote, “In a time marked by partisan battles and finger-pointing between the White House and Congress, the JOBS Act is an opportunity for both parties in Washington to work together and produce results for our nation’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.“
Cantor has served in the House of Representatives since 2001 and was named House Majority Leader in 2010.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) was on MSNBC this week to discuss the Senate vote on the Blunt Amendment. She said, “This should not be a decision between her employer and the employee, a boss and the worker, it should be between a doctor and their patient.”
Wasserman Schultz has served in the House of Representatives since 2005 and was elected chair of the Democratic National Committee in May 2011.

Roundtable: Reed, Murphy, Halperin, Guthrie

Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed discussed the importance of the 2012 election this week. He said, “This year’s election truly will be a litmus test for the direction of the nation. It is important for the leaders of our nation’s cities to participate in these vital national conversations about the economy, job creation, health care and foreign policy.” Watch his last appearance on MTP.
Republican strategist Mike Murphy tweeted this week about the Michigan primary results. He wrote, “Santo needed to MI win to break Romney. He failed. Lights will start to dim now. Can't compete across Super Tues. Will win a few dels, fade.” Watch his last appearance on MTP.
TIME’s Mark Halperin discussed what Mitt Romney has to do after his Michigan primary victory. He wrote, “[Romney has to] Convince his donors and bundlers he (a) will stop making gaffes; (b) has a plan to win; (c) has sufficient fire in the belly.” Watch his last appearance on MTP.
