It's been 36 years since the first "Star Wars" film was released, and it's tough to surprise fans with anything new. But a now-viral video of never-before-seen bloopers from "Episode IV: A New Hope" has amassed nearly 1.5 million views since being uploaded on Sunday.
Much of the 2:36 reel is sound-free, but we do get to see costumes fail; a wheel is visible on the landspeeder driven by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill); Stormtroopers slip and slide over a debris-covered floor; Harrison Ford (as Han Solo) flubs his lines and eats his headset. And to wrap it up, Hamill asks, "How do you pronounce 'supernova?' ... Is it supernova, or supernova?"
YouTuber Neil Bowyer, who uploaded the video, notes that the clip of outtakes (reportedly originally shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2013) is only available because J.W. Rinzler's book, "The Making of Star Wars" is being re-released as a digital e-book, "enhanced to include rare videos and audio excerpts newly discovered from the Lucasfilm archives." Bowyer urges people who enjoyed the bloopers to go buy Rinzler's book.
The next installment in the "Star Wars" franchise of movies ("Episode VII") is set for release in 2015.
