Protesters the globe over are gathering today on May Day (or International Workers Day) for organized marches and what they're calling a "general strike."

According to the Washington Post:

May Day protests have been launched for some 125 cities in U.S., Europe and Australia, on a day labor unions have typically celebrates as International Workers Day. This year, the Occupy Wall Street movement has called for May 1 to be “A Day Without the 99 Percent” and urged students to skip school and employees not to go to work to show their support for the movement.

Joe Scarborough discussed reports that the FBI and NYPD paid surprise visits to individuals affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement ahead of today's protests. OWS activists are largely behind the May Day protests.

"Is this the 'Minority Report' with Tom Cruise where you arrest someone before they do something?," Scarborough asked.

"They were just asked about their intentions," Mika Brzezinski said after reading aloud the report to the group.

Scarborough continued: "If somebody asked me about my intentions to protest I would say 'My intention would be to tell you to shut the hell up!' Seriously, why are you interviewing people the day before…?"

"Maybe they think there’s a more serious concern," Brzezinski responded.

"Hey FBI, you’ve got better things to do. Do it!," Scarborough countered.
