The Shukhov Tower, known as Russia's Eiffel Tower and one of the symbols of Soviet Constructivism, is under threat of demolition due to surface corrosion and the possibility of collapsing. The broadcasting tower was designed by architect and engineer Vladimir Shukhov in 1922, and has a unique free-standing hyperbolic structure towering 525 feet tall.
