Apparently unrepentant despite coming under widespread criticism and losing advertisers, conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh launched a third day of ugly, sexist insults on Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown Law School student who has advocated for wider access to birth control, via insurance companies (not taxpayers as falsely claimed by some right-wingers).
"This woman comes forth with this frankly hilarious claim that she’s having so much sex, and her buddies with her, that she can’t afford it," he said. "And not one person says, did you ever think about maybe backing off the amount of sex that you have?"
"Amazingly, when there is the slightest bit of opposition to this new welfare entitlement to be created, that all of a sudden, we hate women, we want them barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, all of these other things," Limbaugh continued. "And so, that’s where we are. And now, at the end of this week, I am this person that the women of America are to fear the most."

By the way, Fluke’s testimony was about a friend who need contraception to fight cancer and other fellow law students. She never mentioned her own personal life.
Limbaugh also reacted to President Obama's call to Fluke today. Obama told Fluke that her parents should be "proud" of her, but Limbaugh says "I'd be embarrassed. I'd disconnect the phone. I'd go into hiding."
Fluke became an unwitting figure in the middle of a political battle over access to contraception that has ensnared Washington in recent weeks.
House Republicans wouldn’t Fluke let testify at a contraception hearing on Feb. 16. Fluke did, however, "testify" that evening during an exclusive live appearance on The Ed Show.
She also testified at an unofficial Democratic House hearing a week later, both times advocating better access to female contraception for birth control and medical conditions, such as the prevention ovarian cysts.
