Oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens says he’s disappointed that President Obama has not followed through on his campaign commitment to reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil.
“When he was nominated he said that in ten years we will not import any oil from the Mid-East. We’re almost three years deep now from when he made that statement,” the Dallas oilman said. “There’s been no plan put forth that I’ve seen and since he’s been President to accomplish that, unless he started talking about natural gas, and when you get down to it, we don’t have a number of options.”
The longtime Republican added that he probably wouldn’t vote for Obama either. He also weighed in another “tycoon” making waves in the 2012 campaign: real estate mogul turned potential presidential candidate, Donald Trump. Watch the full interview to see what he said.
Here’s the Pickens Plan, which seeks to “build a bridge to the future” of America’s energy independence.
