Motion controls may have been one of the big highlights at last week's video game extravaganza known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo, but one martial arts expert has shown the world what real motion controls look like.
Check out the above video from Aung Zaw Oo – better known as Azo.
"I was skeptical about the Kinect last year but the whole controller free full-body motion experience turned out to be enjoyable," he says. "I also found out that good old fashion wired controllers already support fully-body motions. In fact these old controllers are pretty fun to play with, even if you don't own a console or a TV.
Somehow I have a feeling that if I played his particular motion-controlled game, I'd end up with a concussion.
And despite what it looks like, this guy isn't a professional stunt man. He's a professional video game animator working at Uber Entertainment. Yeah, he performs stunts like this and this, just for the fun of it.
But it's not just all fun and games. Check out how his hobby influences his work here. This is a whole new level of doing your research.
(Thanks to Kotaku for the heads up.)
