Monday's interview with Montgomery, Alabama Police Chief Kevin Murphy about his apology to Rep. John Lewis for his predecessors not having done anything to protect the Freedom Riders from racist violence included in the introduction a map of the Freedom Rides of 1961, with notations for where they encountered violence and arrests.
The map comes from the online collection of David Frankhauser, a professor of biology at the University of Cincinnati's Clermont College who was an active participant in the Civil Rights movement. The page containing his recollections and documentation of the movement is pretty amazing.
