While actress Julianne Moore was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2010 for her role in "The Kids Are All Right," she walked away from the awards show empty-handed. But thanks to her then-8-year-old daughter, she didn't remain empty-handed for long.
During a Thursday night visit to "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," Moore explained how she came to get a Golden Globe -- of sorts.
"My daughter … she was really disappointed that I didn't win," she recalled. "I kept saying 'It doesn't matter. I'm really OK. It's nice to be nominated, nice to be included.' But she was very disappointed and when I came home, she said, 'Mommy, I have a surprise for you. I really wanted you to have a Golden Globe, so I made you a Golden Globe.'"
And, well, the resulting kid craft just has to be seen.
"It's very … golden, and it's definitely a globe," Moore said. 'And it sits on my desk to remind me that I have a Golden Globe."
Moore then asked the host if it reminded him of anything else. Leno simply wondered if the little one found her inspiration in "mommy's private drawer."
