Barnicle. Barnicle. Barnicle! C’mon, man!
Mike Barnicle started out today’s show in some sort of Nike something-or-other. Some kind of sports related gear that would look better if his surroundings were a gymnasium, a stadium or a golf course. And it’s all kindsa wrong.
Look, I’ve been there with Mike on days like this. Remember the day-glo canary yellow number he wore a while back? (My eyes! My eyes!) It’s painful. A good man with fashion so dumb.
Of course, Mika gave Barnicle a hard time. Like the time he showed up in a polo shirt with visible hole right smack on the belly. On other occasions, when Mika has lashed him, Barnicle always tries to “fix” the problem by slapping on a blazer. That’s what he did today. But instead of looking like the network star he is, he looks like an anchor of “Public Access Action News!” (Ed. note: Ouch!)
I’m gonna let you in on a secret. Barnicle keeps a blazer or two in Willie’s office. Might I suggest he keep a shirt or two in there, too. Instead of wearing that eye-popping yellow jersey throw on a yellow shirt from Brooks Brothers or wherever. Instead of wearing yet another navy blue athletic jersey, toss on a navy blue shirt from Sak’s. It’s right across the street. Treat yourself!
