Jenna Bush Hager and Sara Haines got into some real shenanigans in Florida, to film this segment on an extraordinary collection of Broadway memorabilia. Here, they discuss their stage dreams and why people confuse them for each other all the time.
JH: Our love story began in Vancouver on a drive to Whistler where we spoke of our passion for Broadway music.
SH: Ummm...correction...more specifically, it was when you told me of your year-after-year attempts at playing a brunette, waify Cosette from "Les Mis."
JH: And they got...a blond, well-fed Texan.
SH: I totally related as a blond, corn-fed Iowan. In fact, people have sometimes confused us.
JH: I'm used to being a twin, but now I have soul-sister...and body double.
SH: So when I heard about this amazing costume museum, I knew this was our chance to finally live out our Broadway dreams.
JH: We have constant banter back and forth in our office, but we had never had the chance to work together (if you call this work!?)
SH: And as the middle child of four, attention has always been an issue for me. I'll never pass up the opportunity to bust out in costume.
JH: I love a good costume too, but I got to play NOT ONLY the part of a man, but also a man wearing high-wasted knickers and a ruffle shirt.
SH: Let's not forget your mustache (that you insisted on!)
JH: All right...I do love a 'stache. But seriously, we're looking forward to more spots together.
SH: And one thing we know for sure is that when this blond duo retires we probably won't be very far from those costumes.
JH: And possibly in them!
