Four cast members of the former CBS hit "Happy Days" filed a complaint last April against the network, claiming that CBS had not paid them for merchandising revenues they're owed under their contracts. Anson Williams, Don Most, Marion Ross, Erin Moran and the estate of Tom Bosley were asking for upwards of $40 million, plus legal fees, according to the complaint

Well, there's been a settlement, but maybe not a satisfying one.

Attorney Jon Pfeiffer told Fox that the checks received after the case started were between $6,000 and $6,500 for each of the cast members and the wife of Bosley, who died in October 2010. Pfeiffer said that when the payments were sent recently, the studio "claimed that is the full payment for all that was owed."

CBS hasn't commented on the settlement, but when the case originally came to light, a spokesperson for CBS Consumer Products said, "We agree that funds are owed to the actors and have been working with them for quite some time to resolve the issue."

Pfeiffer tells Scoop that the cast has not cashed the checks CBS sent, and does not intend to. "In our view the checks were issued as a PR move so that CBS could say, 'We paid the actors something.'" The checks will have no impact on the cast’s resolve to obtain what they feel is owed to them, and will continue to pursue their case."
