The son of deposed and slain Libyan ruler Moammar Gadhafi had his hair and beard shaved after arriving at a prison in the country’s capital Tripoli on Thursday.

Al-Saadi Gadhafi was pictured shortly after his arrival from Niger, where he had been held under house arrest since he fled Libya in 2011 as his father's regime crumbled. He was extradited Thursday.

Authorities said al-Saadi — one of the deposed Libyan leader's eight children — will be treated "in accordance with international law."
