Republicans in Michigan and Arizona are about to face a choice between candidates who says President Obama is a “snob” for wanting “everybody to go to college” and a guy who sounds like a snob almost every day.

Tonight, Ed first welcomes Richard Wolffe, MSNBC Political Analyst, to talk about radical Rick Santorum’s attacks on higher education, and then Joan Walsh, Salon’s Editor at Large, on Santorum’s distorted attack on President John F. Kennedy concerning the separation of church and state.

Meantime, Mitt Romney’s out-of-touch gaffes on the campaign trail continue, this time at NASCAR in Daytona Beach (“I have some great friends that are NASCAR team owners").

Can Romney keep quiet long enough to hold onto his slim lead in his home state of Michigan? Ed will ask Howard Fineman, NBC News Political Analyst and Editorial Director of the Huffington Post Media Group, and John Nichols, Washington Correspondent of The Nation.

A new state declares war on women’s bodies and their law actually goes further than Virginia. Joy-Ann Reid, Managing Editor of TheGrio.com, MSNBC Contributor, and Terry O’Neill, President of The National Organization for Women, have details on and reaction to Alabama’s new bill.

In Wisconsin, a bad day for union-busting Governor Scott Walker as he throws up his hands and drops a challenge to petition signatures calling for his recall. So why is he suddenly worried about children and seniors?

And the Big Finish tonight, the public school disaster in Chicago keeps getting uglier. One school is forcing students to pay fines for breaking rules and parents are outraged. Judith Browne-Dianis, Co-Director of Advancement Project, and Donna Moore, mother of a student at Nobel Charter School, will join Ed for that.
