Rooney Mara might be getting her first taste of real fame with the release of her new film "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," but she already has something in common with many seasoned actors: she was barely awake when she found out she was nominated for a Golden Globe award. "I was kind of half asleep. We'd had three premieres in three countries, in three nights, so I was kind of half asleep," Mara told Ann Curry during Monday's interview on TODAY. "I kind of forgot that that was happening, so I was very surprised."
Mara and Curry went on to discuss the massive commitment involved with playing Lisbeth Salander, the lead role in the film. Mara had to learn how to smoke, ride a motorcycle, undergo (many) piercings and sign on for an entire trilogy worth of films. Why agree? "I had read the books, and like the rest of the world, I'd fallen in love with the character," Mara said.
