The eight websites that make up Gawker Media have become the envy of the Internet: Gawker, Deadspin, Jezebel, Kotaku, io9, Jalopnik, Gizmodo and Lifehacker. Nick Denton founded the sites that have gained a reputation for their snarky, salacious scoops. While the sites sometimes cannibalize items from other sources, they're also responsible for breaking original stories.
