New couple Denise Richards and Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx are said to be taking things "very slowly," but the pair have been spending a good bit of time together since their first public sighting Dec. 12.
"They like low-key dates, like dining out or the movies," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly in its new issue. The source also adds that the two were familiar with each other before they started getting romantic.
"They've been friends and neighbors for years, so they really know each other and have a strong base." Most of all though, the two "really bond as parents." Richards is mother to the two girls she had while married to Charlie Sheen, Sam and Lola. Sixx has two sons and two daughters from previous marriages.
