A growing chorus of Republicans are calling on Governor Mitt Romney to release his tax returns, but so far his campaign strategy is to stay the course. Romney told Pittsburgh's WPXI he doesn't believe releasing his tax returns will make the issue go away, but rather Democratic operatives will "look for anything they can find to distort, to twist, and to try and make negative, and I want to make this a campaign about the economy and creating jobs."
A new poll by the Washington Post and ABC News shows one in four GOP voters don't think Romney's strategy is working. The poll finds 24% of self-described Republicans have an unfavorable view of the way Romney is running his campaign. As dissent grows within his own party, the pressure to make some changes rises. Will it force his hand on the issue of tax returns?
