Introduction By: Meg Zrini

Q: How did you involved with your charity and what is your role?

Angelina: This year, I really wanted to become involved with a charity and a cause that I am truly passionate about. As many of you know, I have a dog, Peanut who is my love. She really got me thinking about what I could do to help- and animal rights are definitely something I want the world to care about! I reached out to the ASPCA in my area, and we came up with an outreach plan in which I would volunteer at their local events and happenings in order to raise money for the organization, and ultimately, the animals. I will also continue to promote the ASPCA online store where anyone can purchase items for the cause. Proceeds go to the ASPCA.

Q: What is the most important thing people should know about this organization?

Angelina: This year, the ASPCA has donated $5 Million to several animal rights organizations throughout the country. Highlights of the $5 million granted include:

· More than $1.5 million to support approximately 120 spay/neuter programs;

· More than $400,000 toward disaster and emergency response and rescue/seizures of animals from cruelty cases;

· Nearly $700,000 to fund adoption events and relocation programs for the transfer of animals from areas of low demand to areas of higher demand; and

· $88,000 to equine groups for emergency hay and feed, as well as cruelty seizures.

Q: What projects are you currently working on?

Angelina: I am working on getting the word out about the different ways that everyone can contribute to the ASPCA, and help the animals live a happy and healthy life. I will also be volunteering at a few upcoming events in the Tri-State area to raise awareness and funding for the organization.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to add?

Angelina: I am so excited to be a part of such a great organization! This means so much to me, and I can’t wait to help change the lives of our loving animals!
