Rapper 50 Cent pleaded no contest to one count of misdemeanor vandalism in Los Angeles Monday in connection to a June incident at his ex-girlfriend's condominium in which she accused him of kicking her and destroying her furniture and other personal items.

The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office dropped a domestic violence charge against the Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, as well as three other counts of vandalism, spokesperson Frank Mateljan told NBC News. The 38-year-old artist will serve no time behind bars.

He was sentenced to 36 months probation and 30 days of community service, Mateljan said. He also will undergo 52 sessions of domestic violence counseling, pay $7,100 in restitution to model Daphne Narvaez and abide by a restraining order.

The city attorney's office has said that the altercation started over an allegation of a relationship that Narvaez had. 50 Cent was charged with kicking open a door at Narvaez's condo in the Toluca Lake community of Los Angeles, kicking her and destroying a piece of furniture, a chandelier and a television. 50 Cent is due in court in February to show his progress on his counseling and community service, Mateljan said.

50 Cent shot to fame with his 2003 debut studio album "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," which has sold about 15 million copies globally, making it one of the best-selling rap albums of all time.
