Tropical Storm Nicholas is heading to Texas.
Nicholas, the 14th named storm in the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, is expected to approach the middle Texas coast as a tropical storm Monday, and could be near hurricane intensity at landfall. As of Monday morning, Nicholas had maximum sustained wind speeds of 60 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.
