Cellphone video has emerged of the collision of an Amtrak train and a tractor-trailer in North Carolina that sent more than 40 people to the hospital.
The video, recorded by Eric Fitzgerald, shows the train smashing into the rig, which was hauling a large trailer packed with electrical equipment, at a crossing in the town of Halifax on Monday.
The stretch of railroad reopened Tuesday.
