The Lotts thought they were goners.
The family of five was airborne — slammed against the ceiling, the wall, then the floor.
Their mobile home was being tossed like a toy as they were caught inside of a tornado.
The Sugar Hill mobile home park in Convent, Louisiana, where they live, is now a wasteland of debris — but the Lotts miraculously walked away with just minor cuts and bruises.
Around 150 properties were destroyed in the tornado that struck Tuesday. More than 30 people were hospitalized, seven of them with life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said. Two people died.

They recall the twister nearly ripped one of their twin toddlers out the window
"I had her ankles in my hand at one time and she was just flopping," mother Savanna Lott said. "She was like flying out the window, literally. I had her by her ankles."
"First it picked the trailer up right here and it slammed us back down on the ground, and I told her, I said, 'grab a baby,'" father Braxton Lott said
"We grabbed the kids out of the play pen and he said, 'Grab the Bible,' and before I could make it to the Bible, we was in the air flipping," Savanna said.

There was no time to grab their 4-year-old son, Kayne. But when Braxton and Savanna climbed out from under the rubble, each holding one of their 15-month-old daughters, he was standing on the grass in front of them.
He doesn't remember exactly what happened. But the Lotts will never forget: They survived a monster.
